Richmond's Homeless and Activists Take Over Park

Currently, a coalition of the homeless and local activists are occupying Richmond, VA's Monroe Park. Here is a promotional video about it.

They are trying to stop Richmond's plans for the gentrification and criminalization of the homeless.

For more information visit:
http://monroeparkoccupation.wordpress.com/

They are currently in need of more tents, blankets, food, and people to spend the night with them. They are on the corner of Main and Laurel in Monroe Park.

From Madison to Richmond, from the Philippines to Egypt, the proletariat is fighting back!
